Children are first, regardless of their strengths and needs. All children are
unique and valuable individuals.
Children will develop to their full potential when given support,
encouragement and nurturing.
Children learn through play and exploration. Many opportunities are
provided throughout the course of the program day to encourage
children to develop their cognitive, communicative, social, daily living
and physical skills.
Children leave this program ready to enter into the next phase of their
education. The curriculum is developmental in nature, however, the
pre-academic skills necessary for kindergarten entry are presented daily
through various activities. The New York State Learning Standards are
addressed through daily teacher directed activities.
